My two legged Mom and I were watching the relief efforts for Hurricanes Katrina on TV. We saw an elderly man sitting on a park bench. He had lost everything in the hurricane and as he was getting on a bus to be taken to a safe place, he was told his 16 year old chocolate lab had to stay behind. This man had lost everything and now his 4 four legged family member was not allowed on the bus! He was crying. We were crying. It was so sad. We knew we had to take action and do something.
